The Talented and Tenacious Theta Lambda Chapter was chartered on October 20, 1981 by Sorors Francine Blake, April McCain, Marsha Gross-Kay, Audrey Walker, Sadie Nixon
Since its charter, the Theta Lambda chapter has continued to serve the campus and community, empower women, and lift each other up, all while maintaining high academic standards.

Who is Ruby Jones?
Ruby Jones is a Notable Chester County Zeta. She was the first African-American faculty member hired at West Chester University. The Hall bearing her name was built in 1899, formerly an elementary school, it now houses the departments of political science, geography, and criminal justice. Ruby Jones was amongst the seven women that chartered the Epsilon Omega Zeta Graduate Chapter on May 4, 1958.
Recently, in the Fall 2019 semester, the Lawrence A. Dowdy Multicultural Center at West Chester University renamed its annual Student Leadership Conference to the "Ruby Jones Conference on Race, Social Justice, and Civic Leadership" to pay homage to Soror Jones and the Legacy she has left on this campus.

Epsilon Omega Zeta Chapter was chartered May 4, 1958 in Coatesville, PA. The charter members include: Sorors Anita T. Anderson, Alice Roye, Sarah Prout, Ruby Jones, Lucille Chapman, Martha Batchelor, and Viola Morgan.
Together, Theta Lambda and Epsilon Omega Zeta sponsor Thanksgiving Clothing Drives, Canned Food Drives, and several other community services that maintain positive visibility in West Chester and other surrounding areas.
